Essential = vital, indispensable, crucial, critical, necessary … NEEDED!

As a designated ESSENTIAL business, Transitions Liquidation Services had to create a process to help those for whom it was NECESSARY to move and to do so safely, efficiently, and without undue stress, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Fortunately, TLS had a “leg up” on the situation, as it is a mission critical part of our normal procedural goals to be as inobtrusive as possible, especially when dealing with seniors and their special needs. Our long-established relationships with movers and other resources enable us to proceed like a well-choreographed ballet.

We have remained busy moving individuals in and out of communities, often in emergency situations. Each assisted living community is different regarding their specific safety rules or guidelines during Covid-19. We work with each community to mesh our procedures with theirs. We

  • affirm that none of our employees has traveled outside the state or country in the last 14 days
  • have our temperatures taken
  • attest that to our knowledge, none of our employees is ill or has Covid-19
  • wear masks and gloves in the common areas.
  • limit our staff to two people in the building or room at one time, if required.
  • work in a shuttle-type process with our crew and movers to and from the loading dock.

In addition,

We travel only between the loading dock, the designated elevator and the room

We DO NOT use public areas, public rest rooms, or touch walls

We schedule moves during the day or evening, as necessary.

COVID-19 GuidelinesOur interaction with the staff can be minimal and limited to communicating with them if we have a question or problem and notifying them when we have completed the move and are ready to leave. The community staff may prep the elevator and clean and disinfect the room after we exit the building.

Ensuring the health and well-being of our clientele and our employees is our highest priority. We are following the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and are working closely with our partner communities to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

When the Commonwealth of Massachusetts begins its phased opening on May 18th, we have movers, clean-out crews, and other key partners ready to deploy. These resources combined with the skills and processes we developed during the Covid-19 crisis make Transitions Liquidation Services the ideal choice for your needs in the coming weeks and months.
